Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Nagaland on August 29, 2026, notified the Adoption of the Guidance Document on Disposal of Expired/Unused Drugs.

The Government has notified the adoption of the “Guidance Document (W/01/DCC-P-25) on Disposal of Expired/Unused Drugs” issued by the Central Drugs Control Organisation, Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. The guidance will apply with immediate effect to private-sector health units across Nagaland, including retail pharmacies, wholesale drug establishments, private clinics and hospitals, to ensure proper management and safe disposal of expired/unused medicines, minimise pharmaceutical waste contamination, and protect public health and the environment.
