The Department of Taxes, Govt. of Kerala on September 15, 2026, issued the Kerala Manufacture and Sale of Stamp (Amendment) Rules, 2026, further to amend the Kerala Manufacture and Sale of Stamp Rules, 1960.
The following has been amended, namely:
• In Rule 36, for the words, figure, symbols and bracket "rupees 1,00,000 (rupees one lakh)", the words, figure, symbols and bracket "Rupees 3,00,000 (Rupees three lakh)" shall be substituted;
• In rule 39, for the words, figure, symbols and bracket "Rupees 1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh)", the words, figure, symbols and bracket "Rupees 3,00,000 (Rupees three lakh)" shall be substituted;
• In rule 40, for the words, figures, symbols and bracket "Rupees 1,00,000 (Rupees one lakh only)", wherever it occurs, the words, figures, symbols and bracket "Rupees 3,00,000 (Rupees three lakh only)" shall be substituted;
• In rule 40A, for the words, figure, symbols and bracket "Rupees 1,00,000 (Rupees one lakh only)", the words, figure, symbols and bracket "Rupees 3,00,000 (Rupees three lakh only)" shall be substituted.
