Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity Clearing Limited (NCCL) on September 29, 2026, has prescribed the Settlement Calendar and timelines for submission of delivery intentions for all Futures Contracts expiring in October 2026, in accordance with the applicable Bye-laws and Regulations. Members must identify the applicable settlement type for each commodity. Contracts under compulsory delivery with staggered delivery will be compulsorily settled on expiry, while for staggered delivery contracts, the settlement number corresponding to the tender date is required to be used. Delivery intentions may be submitted up to 6:30 P.M. during the staggered delivery period, including on expiry day.

Members must submit delivery intentions and location preferences through NCFE. Delivery corresponding to the open position at expiry is mandatory after availing early pay-in. Sellers holding requisite stocks in NCCL-approved warehouses or having marked delivery intention cannot default; such default attracts an additional 3% penalty over the prescribed delivery-default penalty and may invite disciplinary action. A further 3% penalty of the delivery-default value applies for each repeated default, where three or more delivery defaults occur within a rolling six-month period. Members must also adhere to the prescribed GST settlement and physical delivery information timelines, failing which applicable late fees may be imposed.
