The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) on September 22, 2026, issued a notification regarding the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of “Glycine originating in or exported from China PR”.
The following has been stated: -
•The Designated Authority initiated an anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of Glycine originating in or exported from China PR, based on an application filed by Avid Organics Pvt. Ltd., alleging dumped imports and material injury to the domestic industry.
•The product under consideration covers Glycine of all grades, including pharmaceutical, food, technical and feed grades, classified mainly under tariff headings 29224910 and 29224990.
•Avid Organics, accounting for 66% of Indian production during the POI, was considered an eligible domestic industry, and the POI is April 01, 2025 to March 31, 2026.
•The applicant proposed treating China PR as a non-market economy and determining normal value under the applicable provisions of the Anti-Dumping Rules.
