The Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas (CAQM) on September 29, 2026, has amended Direction Nos. 11 to 18 dated June 11, 2021 to expand the web portal-based registration and monitoring mechanism for Construction and Demolition (C&D) projects. The extension covers eligible C&D projects with a plot area of 500 square metres or more located outside municipal limits but within specified regulated and planned areas of the NCR, in view of the contribution of construction-related dust to PM10 and PM2.5 pollution.
The extended mechanism applies to C&D projects situated in urban areas, controlled areas, development/industrial development areas, industrial areas/zones and highway corridor zones, as applicable under the relevant laws and planning frameworks of the NCR States and GNCTD. Accordingly, concerned authorities must bring such projects under the existing web portal-based registration and monitoring system. All other requirements and provisions of Direction Nos. 11 to 18 remain unchanged, except to the extent specifically modified by this amendment.
