Commercial ComplianceThe Government of Tamil Nadu on September 22, 2026, has amended the Table of Fees prescribed under the Registration Act, 1908, by substituting clause (c) of Article (1). The amendment provides that Sections 5, 6, 20, 21, 23, 25 and 47-B of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 shall apply, mutatis mutandis, for determining the registration fee.

The amendment has been issued under Section 78 of the Registration Act, 1908 and comes into force from September 22, 2026.
