The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), effective October 1, 2026, has substituted Tables 1, 2 and 3 prescribing revised tariff values for specified imported goods. Table 1 covers crude and refined palm oils, palmolein, crude soybean oil and brass scrap, while Tables 2 and 3 cover specified gold, silver and areca nut imports.
The revised tariff values under Table 1 include crude palm oil at US$1,229/MT, RBD palm oil at US$1,240/MT, other palm oil at US$1,235/MT, crude palmolein at US$1,248/MT, RBD palmolein at US$1,251/MT, other palmolein at US$1,250/MT, crude soybean oil at US$1,280/MT, and brass scrap at US$8,149/MT. Under Table 2, the tariff value is US$1,339 per 10 grams for specified gold and US$1,965 per kilogram for specified silver. Table 3 prescribes US$1,574 per MT for areca nuts, with the notification specifically stating that there is no change in this value.
The revised tariff values come into force from October 1, 2026. These values apply to the specified tariff items and descriptions set out in the substituted Tables 1, 2 and 3.
