The District Magistrate, Golaghat, Govt. of Assam on September 28, 2026, issued directions for the advance submission of Event Permission Applications through the e-District Portal.
It states that all organizers seeking permission for fairs, religious functions, cultural programmes, trade fairs, rallies, use of loudspeakers, and similar events are required to submit applications through the e-District Portal at least 15 days before the proposed event, in view of the prescribed 15-day processing period. Applications submitted on the day of the event or only one or two days before will ordinarily not be considered due to insufficient time for verification and obtaining necessary reports/clearances. Organizers shall obtain prior permission from the competent authority before conducting any event requiring such permission, and concerned officials are directed to ensure strict compliance.
