The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) on September 29, 2026, issued a Corrigendum to the final findings in the anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of “Low Ash Metallurgical Coke” originating in or exported from Australia, China PR, Colombia, Indonesia, Japan and Russia.
The following has been stated: -
•The DGTR has clarified the implementation of the actual user condition for exclusions from anti-dumping duty on Low Ash Metallurgical Coke (LAM Coke) from Australia, China PR, Colombia, Indonesia, Japan and Russia.
•The exclusions cover specified ultra-low phosphorous metallurgical coke for ferroalloy manufacturing and 20–40 mm LAM Coke for blast furnaces up to 130 m³ for pig iron manufacturing.
•The benefit is available only to actual users for own consumption upon furnishing the prescribed undertaking and, where applicable, a Pollution Control Board certificate confirming furnace capacity.
•Customs shall implement the actual user condition in accordance with the Customs (Import of Goods at Concessional Rate of Duty or for Specified End Use) Rules, 2022.
•Other findings, including the product scope and anti-dumping duty recommendations, remain unchanged.
