Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on October 01, 2026, issued a notification regarding Non-Resident Deposits - Comprehensive Single Return (NRD-CSR)(R012): Submission under CIMS Sankalan Portal.

The following has been stated: -

•RBI has issued directions regarding submission of the Non-Resident Deposits – Comprehensive Single Return (NRD-CSR), coded R012, through the CIMS Sankalan Portal, superseding the earlier A.P. (DIR Series) Circular dated August 07, 2013. 

•Banks maintaining NRD accounts may submit the monthly return through system-to-system integration, file upload, or screen-based web form. 

•Banks are required to use the revised NRD-CSR format and submit the return by the 10th of the following month. 

•The directions have been issued under the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999.
