NCDEX Futures and Options Contracts Launch in October 2026

Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX), on September 30, 2026, issued a circular informing trading and clearing members about the launch of Futures and Options contracts in October 2026. Futures contracts are scheduled to be launched on October 1, 2026, with the applicable premiums/discounts for differences in grade and delivery location specified in the attached annexures.

The circular provides for four categories of premium/discounts: (i) grade differences, (ii) delivery location differences, (iii) grade and location differences, and (iv) variations in quality within acceptable limits, which will continue to be governed by the respective product notes/circulars. The detailed contracts and applicable premiums/discounts are set out in Annexures I to IV. For contracts launched subsequently, the applicable premium/discount will be announced before the launch.

The Exchange will also introduce Options contracts on Futures contracts from October 5, 2026, with the relevant contracts specified in Annexure V. The circular is issued with reference to SEBI's Master Circular for the Commodity Derivatives Segment dated August 4, 2023, particularly the provisions relating to location premium/discount.
