EHS Compliance The Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO) on September 02, 2026, issued a notification regarding the Destruction of used Ammonium Nitrate bags.

It states that all Ammonium Nitrate manufacturers/end users are advised to dispose of the Ammonium Nitrate bags by shredding them, ensuring the destruction of markings to avoid any misuse of these bags. It is also advised to maintain a record of daily/monthly quantities of Ammonium Nitrate bags destroyed in the form of a recycling/disposal certificate or equivalent proof.
