NSE IFSC Revised Quantity Freeze Limits for Single Stock Derivatives and Indices

Secretarial ComplianceThe NSE International Exchange (NSE IFSC) on September 30, 2026, announced revised quantity freeze limits for derivative contracts on single stocks and indices, effective 1 October 2026, pursuant to Exchange Circular No. NSEIFSC/TRADE/2609 dated 27 May 2026. The circular applies to all broker-dealers and remote trading participants.

The revised quantity freeze limits for index derivatives are as follows: NIFTY – 223; NIFTYIT – 26; BANKNIFTY – 37; FINNIFTY – 26; NIFTYNXT50 – 15; MIDCPNIFTY – 73; and NIFTYFPI – 15. Members must load the updated ni_contract.gz file into their trading applications before trading on 1 October 2026. The file is available in the /gtftp/gtcommon directory on the Extranet server, while quantity freeze limits for individual underlying stocks will be available on the exchange website.
