Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) on September 29, 2026, issued a notification regarding the initiation of an anti-subsidy/countervailing duty investigation concerning imports of Internally Grooved Copper Tubes and Pipes from China PR, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The following has been stated: -

•The Designated Authority has initiated an anti-subsidy/countervailing duty investigation into imports of Internally Grooved Copper Tubes and Pipes (IGT) from China PR, Thailand and Viet Nam, following a complaint by MetTube Copper India Pvt. Ltd. 

•The applicant alleges that producers/exporters benefit from actionable subsidies, causing material injury to or retarding the establishment of the domestic industry. 

•The product is primarily used in air-conditioners, heat exchangers and related applications, and interested parties may submit comments on the product scope and PCN methodology within 15 days.
