The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on September 22, 2026, issued a circular regarding admission of 10th Pass Working Professionals to the First Year of Diploma Programmes under the Working Professional Category.
The following has been stated: -
•The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has permitted 10th-pass working professionals to seek admission to the First Year of Diploma Programmes under the Working Professional Category in AICTE-approved institutions.
•Admissions must be conducted through the existing admission/entrance mechanism prescribed by the concerned State/UT Directorate of Technical Education, with no separate institutional-level entrance examination permitted.
