The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on October 06, 2026, notified the extension of the Code on Social Security, 2020 to Additional Districts in Gujarat w.e.f. October 1, 2026.
It states that the Code on Social Security, 2020, shall apply to the entire areas of 15 previously non-implemented districts and 16 partially implemented districts in Gujarat with effect from October 1, 2026. Consequently, the notified districts/areas under the Code increase, with 692 fully notified districts, 52 partially notified districts and 36 non-notified districts, out of a total of 780 districts.
