Industry Specific ComplianceThe Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on October 06, 2026, notified the revised format for report on internal audit and concurrent audit of risk-prone areas of DP Operations for half year ended September 30, 2026.

The Communiqué prescribes the revised scope, objectives and checklist for the Internal Audit Report (IAR) and Concurrent Audit Report (CAR) of Depository Participants for the half-year ended September 30, 2026. The IAR is required to be submitted online by November 15, 2026; physical submissions will be treated as non-submission. Where the internal and concurrent auditors are different, the CAR covering specified risk-prone areas shall be attached to the IAR. At least one person conducting the internal/concurrent audit shall hold the prescribed NISM certification, and auditors shall verify the DP’s implementation of the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) mechanism and related website compliances. Newly activated DPs shall submit the audit report from their activation date up to September 30, 2026, and compliance officers shall ensure that auditors are informed of and comply with the revised requirements.
