The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), on October 7, 2026, has announced a mock trading session on Saturday, October 10, 2026, to enable Trading Members to test their trading and risk management systems, including algorithmic strategies and disaster recovery connectivity.
The following has been stated:
The mock trading session will commence with a Special Session from 1:55 PM to 1:59 PM, followed by the main Mock Trading Session from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Members are requested to actively participate using all their trading software and to participate for a minimum of one hour at both the Primary Site and Disaster Recovery Site.
Members having approved algorithmic strategies are mandatorily required to participate in the mock session using all approved algorithmic strategies, irrespective of whether any changes have been made to them. Members using third-party trading platforms or in-house systems through ETI API may also use the session to test their applications from the Disaster Recovery Site.
Members using CTCL facilities are required to participate using the MCX Enhanced Trading Interface (ETI) API version 1.4.2. Participation will be available through existing leased-line connectivity, while Members connecting through the internet may use their existing SSL VPN IDs.
MCX has also introduced a separate IP and Port for Drop Copy, which will become live from October 12, 2026. Members have been advised to refer to the relevant annexure for connectivity and default password details.
Trading Members have also been requested to log in to and participate in the mock session through the new UCC interface. Members must ensure that adequate mechanisms are in place to restore their trading systems to the production state after the mock session.
Trades executed during the mock session will not attract any pay-in or pay-out obligations.
