The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on October 07, 2026, issued a notification regarding the interest rate on the Special Deposit Scheme, set at 7.1% for Q3 FY 2026–27.
The following has been stated: -
•The Ministry of Finance has notified that deposits under the Special Deposit Scheme for Non-Government Provident, Superannuation and Gratuity Funds will earn interest at 7.1% per annum for the period from October 01, 2026 to December 31, 2026.
•The notified rate shall be effective from October 01, 2026.
