Labour Compliance The Labour Commissioner, Odisha on October 08, 2026, notified the revised Minimum Wages through Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA), effective October 1, 2026.

The Government has increased the Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) by ₹6 per day for unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled, and highly skilled employees, effective October 1, 2026, due to a 2.30-point increase in the Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers. Accordingly, the revised daily minimum wages are ₹478 for unskilled, ₹528 for semi-skilled, ₹578 for skilled, and ₹628 for highly skilled employees.
