The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on October 09, 2026, launched the Quarterly Order Books, Inventories and Capacity Utilisation Survey: July – September 2026 (Round 75).
RBI has launched the 75th round of its Order Books, Inventories and Capacity Utilisation Survey (OBICUS) for the July–September 2026 quarter (Q2 of FY 2026–27). Conducted quarterly since 2008, the survey collects data from manufacturing companies on new and pending orders, inventories of finished goods, work-in-progress and raw materials, production quantities and values, installed capacity, and reasons for changes in production or capacity. The responses are used to estimate capacity utilisation and support monetary policy formulation. Selected manufacturing companies will be approached by the RBI, while other manufacturers may participate voluntarily by submitting the duly authenticated questionnaire through the prescribed email channel. Company-level information will remain confidential and will not be disclosed.
