The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), on October 07, 2026, amended Notification No. 62/1994-Customs (N.T.) dated 21 November 1994 in respect of Dabhol Port, Maharashtra, under Section 7(1)(a) of the Customs Act, 1962. The amendment revises the activities permitted at the port.
The revised activities include unloading machinery and equipment for the Ratnagiri Gas and Power Private Limited Power Project; unloading LNG and naphtha; loading imported machinery and equipment for export relating to the project; and unloading goods for manufacture and repair of ships, barges, similar vessels and rigs by M/s. Square Port Shipyard Private Limited. It also permits import of ships, barges, similar vessels and rigs by Square Port Shipyard for repair and their subsequent export.
