The National Securities Depository Limited (NDSL) on October 09, 2026, issued a clarification regarding communication of the rejection of NDU to clients.
The following has been stated: -
•The National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) clarified that Participants must inform the concerned parties promptly when a Non-Disposal Undertaking (NDU) is rejected or not created, along with the reasons for rejection, in accordance with SEBI Circular No. CIR/MRD/DP/56/2017 dated June 14, 2017.
•Communication may be made through email, SMS, written communication, digital platforms, mobile applications, web portals, or any other acceptable and verifiable non-verbal mode.
•Participants must maintain adequate records of such communications in accordance with their internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
