Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Gujarat on September 22, 2026, issued a notification regarding mandatory reporting of snakebite cases and deaths by clinical establishments.

The following has been stated: -

•The Government of Gujarat has mandated all government, local authority, and private clinical establishments across the State to report suspected and probable snakebite cases and snakebite-related deaths under the Gujarat Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2021. 

•Reports must be submitted in the prescribed format, preferably within 24 hours of identification or admission, to the concerned Chief District Health Officer or Municipal Health Officer, either offline or through the Integrated Health Information Platform (IHIP) portal. 

•Local public health authorities must submit consolidated monthly reports to the Additional Director (Public Health), Gandhinagar. 

•Healthcare facilities must follow prescribed snakebite treatment protocols and ensure adequate availability of anti-snake venom (ASV) and trained personnel.
