EHS ComplianceThe Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), on October 10, 2026, reviewed measures to prevent paddy stubble burning in Amritsar and Tarn Taran, identified as hotspot districts during the ongoing harvesting season.

The following has been stated:

CAQM reviewed district-level preparedness, availability of Crop Residue Management (CRM) machinery, farmer support, and in-situ and ex-situ utilisation of paddy straw.
