The Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on October 09, 2026, notified regarding the mandatory “Order Date” And “Unfreeze Order Date” for Specified Freeze Reason Codes.
DPs are advised to refer Communique no. CDSL/OPS/DP/POLCY/2026/532 dated August 05, 2026, regarding Enhancements Introduced in the CDAS Freeze & Unfreeze Module. In this regard, It is hereby informed that the validation for the fields “Order Date” and “Unfreeze Order Date” is being revised in the CDSL system.
Accordingly, the fields “Order Date” and “Unfreeze Order Date” shall be mandatory only for the Freeze Reason Codes specified below. For all other Freeze Reason Codes, these fields shall remain optional.
The revised validation shall be applicable with effect from End of the day (EOD) of October 30, 2026.
