The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on October 12, 2026, issued an amendment to the export policy for Prepared Culture Media.
The Central Government has amended the export policy for Prepared Culture Media under ITC(HS) Code 38210000 of Chapter 38 of Schedule II (Export Policy), ITC(HS), 2022. Exports remain freely permitted; however, where the importing country requires shipment clearance and health certificates, a consignment-wise Shipment Clearance Certificate shall be issued by CAPEXIL, containing details of the exporter, registered plant, IEC number, plant approval number, product, quantity, invoice, and shipment destination. After shipment, the exporter shall provide a consignment-wise Health Certificate to the buyer. Where mandated by the importing country, the Health Certificate shall be jointly issued by CAPEXIL and the Regional Animal Quarantine Officer under the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
