The Directorate of Fire & Emergency Services, Tripura, on September 25, 2026, issued a notification regarding the simplified procedure for obtaining Fire Safety Certificates through self-certification.
The following has been stated: -
•In accordance with Section 26(A) of the Tripura Fire and Emergency Services Act, 2022, as amended by the Tripura Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2025, Fire NOCs may be issued upon receipt of self-certification from the owner or occupier.
•Under the Tripura Fire Safety Rules, 2026, the affidavit or notarisation requirement has been removed from Forms D, J, N and R.
•Applicants are now required to submit only self-attested documents, wherever applicable, for obtaining fire safety clearances and fulfilling compliance requirements.
