The Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), on October 12, 2026, issued a notification regarding Fire Safety compliance in all ESI Establishments Revalidation of Fire NOC and Updated Compliance Status.
The following has been stated: -
•Regional Directors and Heads of Institutions shall ensure strict compliance with prescribed fire safety measures and submit duly verified details of Fire NOC/Part Fire NOC for hospitals, medical colleges, offices, staff quarters and other establishments under their jurisdiction.
•The prescribed Annexure-A must include NOC validity and renewal status, fire mock drills, maintenance of firefighting systems, fire safety works, and pending deficiencies.
•Expired NOCs and those under renewal/revalidation must be specifically reported, as merely initiating renewal does not constitute valid compliance.
•The updated and authenticated information must be submitted to Headquarters within three weeks from the date of issue of the letter, on a top-priority basis.
