The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on October 06, 2026, issued a circular regarding the submission of proposals for new Course (s) Nomenclature for inclusion in the Approval Process Handbook (APH) 2027-28.
The following has been stated: -
•The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), under the Ministry of Education, has invited proposals from AICTE-approved universities and institutions for introducing new course/branch nomenclature not included in the existing Approval Process Handbook (APH) 2024–27.
•Prior concurrence of the Council is required for such new courses. Proposals, along with the proposed course details, curriculum, syllabus, and supporting documents, must be submitted exclusively through the AICTE online form.
•The submission deadline is October 25, 2026. Proposals submitted through email or other modes will not be accepted.
