The Ministry of Defense (MoD) on October 12, 2026, issued the Draft Belagavi Cantonment Building Bye-Laws, 2026.
The following has been stated: -
•The draft bye-laws aim to regulate building construction, alterations, extensions and development activities within the Belagavi Cantonment area.
•They prescribe requirements relating to building plan approval, construction standards, setbacks, structural safety and compliance with applicable building regulations.
•The draft is intended to ensure planned development, public safety and orderly land use within the cantonment.
•Stakeholders should refer to the official draft notification for detailed provisions and any prescribed timeline for submitting objections or suggestions.
Any objections or suggestions may be given within 30 days from October 16, 2026.
