Commercial Compliance The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on October 16, 2026, issued an amendment to the older notification – Extension of Implementation Date to March 20, 2027.

It has amended its notification bearing Ref. No. HQ-PUB013/1/2020-PUB-BIS (1494), dated March 23, 2026, and published on March 27, 2026. In Serial No. 04, Column (5) of the Schedule, the date “September 20, 2026” has been replaced with “March 20, 2027,” thereby extending the specified implementation date.
