The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on October 19, 2026, issued the Reserve Bank of India (Small Finance Banks - Miscellaneous) Amendment Directions, 2026, to amend the Reserve Bank of India (Small Finance Banks - Miscellaneous) Directions, 2025.
The following has been stated: -
•The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), exercising its powers under Section 35A of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, has issued the Reserve Bank of India (Small Finance Banks – Miscellaneous) Amendment Directions, 2026.
•The amendment deletes Section C on “Limits for Non-Option Derivative Contracts” under Chapter IV, paragraph 37, of the RBI (Small Finance Banks – Miscellaneous) Directions, 2025. The amendment takes effect immediately upon issuance.
