Industry Specific Compliance The Government of Odisha on September 23, 2026, issued the Indian Stamp (Odisha Amendment) Bill, 2026, to further amend the Indian Stamp Act, 1899.

It amends Schedule I-A by substituting the entries under clause (c) of Article 23, relating to stamp duty on the specified instruments. The amendment also repeals the Indian Stamp (Odisha Amendment) Ordinance, 2026. However, any action taken or anything done under the repealed Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the Act, thereby preserving the validity of actions already undertaken.
