The Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX), on October 19, 2026, notified its members of a special Muhurat Trading session on Sunday, November 8, 2026, on the occasion of Diwali (Laxmi Pujan Day). The circular is issued in accordance with SEBI Master Circular No. SEBI/HO/MRD/MRD-PoD1/P/CIR/2023/136 dated August 4, 2023, and in continuation of MCX Circular No. MCX/TRD/636/2025 dated December 15, 2025.
Contracts in all commodities and indices will be available for trading during the special session. The special session will run from 2:05 PM to 2:19 PM, followed by the trading session from 2:20 PM to 3:30 PM. The client code modification session will remain open from 2:20 PM to 3:45 PM.
Exchange members are required to take note of the prescribed timings and make the necessary operational arrangements for the Diwali Muhurat Trading session.
