The Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS) on October 13, 2026, issued a notification regarding the Pending Competency Certificate Verification for November–December 2026.
The following has been stated: -
•The Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS) has announced that the online certification portal is not accepting fresh registrations or new applications for Certificates of Competency under the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 (CMR, 2017) and the Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1961 (MMR, 1961), through the exemption or examination route.
•Slot booking and document verification will be available during November and December 2026 exclusively for applications already submitted through the portal.
•Candidates with pending applications must book slots and complete the required verification formalities under the existing procedure.
•The facility aims to minimise delays in processing certificates, particularly in view of the possible migration to a new digital certification platform.
