The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), on October 22, 2026, has scheduled a mock trading session for the Equity Derivatives segment on Saturday, October 24, 2026. No new BOLT TWS release will be issued. Trading members using third-party trading platforms of empanelled vendors or in-house developed systems through ETI APIs may use the session to test trading application functionalities, including exceptional market conditions such as risk-reduction mode and trading halt.
The mock trading session will begin with log-in from 08:15 AM to 09:00 AM. The pre-open session will allow both limit and market order entry from 09:00 AM to 09:30 AM, followed by limit-order-only entry from 09:30 AM to 10:00 AM. Order matching and confirmation will take place from 10:00 AM to 10:15 AM, followed by a buffer period until 10:20 AM. Continuous trading will run from 10:20 AM to 02:10 PM. Future contract price bands will be updated for alignment with the Call Auction Session (CAS) in the Equity segment from 01:45 PM to 01:50 PM, with revised price bands applied sequentially from 01:50 PM. Trade modification is scheduled for 02:20 PM. Order entry will stop randomly during the final two minutes of the order-entry period, and order matching will begin immediately after the period ends.
The Exchange has clarified that the mock trading session is intended solely for testing and familiarisation. Trades executed during the session will not attract margin, pay-in or pay-out obligations and will not create any rights or liabilities. Members are encouraged to participate actively and submit feedback through the specified contact numbers or email addresses by 03:00 PM.
