The National Commodity Clearing Limited (NCCL) on October 23, 2026, notified of the Submission of the Half-Yearly Internal Audit Report for the half-year ended September 30, 2026.
The following has been stated:
• It has directed all Clearing Members, including PCM, STCM and TCM members undertaking clearing activities, who executed at least one trade during the period from April 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026, to conduct an internal audit for the half-year ended September 30, 2026. The Internal Auditor shall be appointed in accordance with NCCL Circular Nos. NCCL/INSPECTION-002/2025 dated March 11, 2025, and NCCL/INSPECTION-001/2026 dated January 16, 2026. The Internal Audit Report, along with all required annexures, shall be submitted by November 30, 2026, within two months from the end of the half-year. The Internal Audit Certificate under Annexure I shall be digitally signed by the auditor, while the Internal Audit Report under Annexure II shall be submitted in both Excel and PDF formats, with the PDF digitally signed by the auditor and Clearing Member and accompanied by the member’s management comments. Auditors shall obtain the data required for sampling from the Clearing Member and follow the sample-selection guidelines under Annexure III.
• For every applicable “Not complied” observation, the report shall specify the number of instances verified and the amount or value involved in the non-compliant instances. Details of samples verified, including sample dates and shortlisted samples, shall also be provided in the prescribed Annexure V formats.
• The complete submission, including Annexures I to V, shall be emailed to [email protected] with the subject line “Internal Audit Report – Name of the Clearing Member (Clearing Member Code) – September 2026.” The prescribed annexures are available in the Downloads section of the NCCL website.
• Late or non-submission will attract penalties or disciplinary action under NCCL Circular No. NCCL/COMPLIANCE-002/2024 dated March 28, 2024, while non-compliances identified in the report will be subject to action under NCCL Circular No. NCCL/COMPLIANCE-013/2023 dated December 28, 2023, or other applicable circulars.
