The Ministry of Defense (MoD) on October 12, 2026, issued the Draft Shahjahanpur Cantonment Building Bye-Laws, 2026.
The following has been stated: -
•The draft Shahjahanpur Cantonment Building Bye-Laws, 2026, prescribe the proposed rules for building construction and development within the Shahjahanpur Cantonment area.
•They regulate the submission and approval of building plans, construction standards, and compliance with applicable building requirements.
•The bye-laws aim to ensure planned development, public safety, and proper utilisation of land.
•They also establish procedures for regulating construction activities and ensuring adherence to the prescribed norms.
•Stakeholders may submit objections or suggestions as per the notification issued by the competent authority.
Any person interested in making any objections or suggestions may within 30 days from October 23, 2026.
