The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) on October 23, 2026, issued the Sunset Review Anti-Dumping Investigation concerning imports of “Seamless Tubes, Pipes & Hollow Profiles of Iron, Alloy or Non-Alloy Steel” originating in or exported from China PR.
The following has been stated: -
•The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) has recommended the continuation of anti-dumping duty on imports of seamless tubes, pipes and hollow profiles of iron, alloy or non-alloy steel, with an external diameter not exceeding 355.6 mm, originating in or exported from China PR.
•The sunset review found continued dumping, increased imports and injury to the domestic industry, including price depression, declining profitability and low capacity utilisation.
•The recommendation also excludes specified Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) from the scope of the duty.
•DGTR has recommended a fixed-form anti-dumping duty to prevent the recurrence of dumping and injury to Indian manufacturers.
•The duty will take effect upon issuance of the relevant notification by the Central Government.
