The Labour Commissioner, Uttarakhand, on October 16, 2026, has determined the Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) payable to unskilled workers employed in agricultural employment under the Minimum Wages Act for the period from October 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027.
Based on the All-India Consumer Price Index (base year 2016=100), the index of 468 points has been considered against the benchmark of 253 points for January 2026 to June 2026. At the rate of ₹20 per point, the Variable Dearness Allowance has been calculated as ₹4,300 per month.
The revised VDA shall be applicable from October 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027. The concerned labour authorities have been directed to inform subordinate officers, workers, employers and their representatives and ensure compliance.
