Industry Specific ComplianceThe International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) on October 27, 2026, has revised the Special Category Client (SCC) framework for trading on the India International Bullion Exchange (IIBX). Henceforth, participants will not be permitted to trade on IIBX unless they are clients of a Bullion Trading Member, thereby discontinuing the facility for participants to trade directly on the exchange without such membership.

However, participants already notified by IFSCA and/or onboarded by IIBX as SCCs on the date of the circular may continue to trade directly on IIBX until November 13, 2026. The circular has been issued under Sections 12 and 13 of the IFSCA Act, 2019, read with Regulation 78 of the IFSCA (Bullion Market) Regulations, 2025, and is effective immediately.
