Industry Specific ComplianceThe Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hill on October 26, 2026, has made Biometric Aadhaar Authentication (BAA) mandatory for domestic LPG consumers seeking refills at the regulated Retail Selling Price (RSP) with applicable subsidy, effective October 1, 2026. Consumers who have already completed BAA are not required to repeat the process. Those who have not completed authentication must do so to continue receiving LPG refills at the regulated price with subsidy.

Consumers can complete BAA through delivery personnel using their respective Oil Marketing Company’s (OMC) mobile application, by visiting their LPG distributor, or through the IndianOil ONE, HelloBPCL, or HP PAY apps. Consumers unwilling or unable to complete BAA may register through their OMC’s digital channels to obtain 5 kg or 10 kg LPG cylinders at market-determined prices without subsidy, subject to local availability. Consumers who fail to complete BAA will be blocked from further refills, and their connections may be reactivated after successful authentication.
