The Ministry of External Affairs (MoEA) on October 24, 2026, notified the Implementation of the United Nations Security Council Resolutions on Libya (Amendment) Order, 2026, further to amend the Implementation of the United Nations Security Council Resolutions on Libya Order, 2016.
The following has been stated: -
•The Ministry of Finance has amended the Implementation of the United Nations Security Council Resolutions on Libya Order, 2016, by inserting a new entry, Lye.006, for the vessel Avax under Annexure 3, “B. Entities and other groups.”
•The vessel, flying the flag of Cameroon and bearing IMO No. 9058713, was listed on July 22, 2026, pursuant to the relevant UN Security Council resolutions concerning Libya.
•The listing imposes restrictions on loading, transporting or discharging petroleum, entering ports, providing bunkering and vessel services, and engaging in related financial transactions.
•The designation is valid from July 22, 2026, to July 22, 2027, unless terminated earlier by the relevant UN Sanctions Committee.
It shall come into force on October 26, 2026.
