The Transport Department, Daman on October 21, 2026, issued the Motor Vehicle Aggregator Guidelines, 2025 - Adoption in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.
The Union Territory Administration of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu has adopted the Motor Vehicle Aggregator Guidelines, 2025, issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on July 01, 2025, as amended from time to time. The Guidelines will govern the licensing, regulation and operation of motor vehicle aggregators in the Union Territory, subject to the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989. The notification will come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Union Territory.
The Secretary (Transport) has been designated as the Competent Authority under Section 93 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, while the Advisor to the Hon’ble Administrator has been appointed as the Appellate Authority to hear appeals against orders passed by the Competent Authority under Clause 26 of the Guidelines. The State Transport Authority has also been authorised to perform functions assigned by the Competent Authority to ensure effective implementation of the Guidelines.
