The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on October 30, 2026, notified the Extension of the timeline with respect to compliance with Digital Accessibility Circulars.
SEBI has extended the compliance deadline for regulated entities (REs) concerning its circulars on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, and the rules made thereunder. REs have been granted an extension until January 31, 2027, to appoint an IAAP auditor, conduct accessibility audits of their digital platforms, and remediate the findings identified during the audits. The extension follows representations from REs seeking additional time and a review of their compliance status. All other provisions of the earlier SEBI circulars remain unchanged and must continue to be complied with. The circular has been issued under Section 11(1) of the SEBI Act, 1992.
