The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on October 23, 2026, issued a notification regarding the Draft CAR Section 9, Series D, Part II on Aeronautical Telecommunications – Radio Navigation Aids.
The following has been stated: -
•The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has invited comments and suggestions on the draft Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR) concerning Aeronautical Telecommunications Radio Navigation Aids, with the last date for submission being November 20, 2026.
•The draft has been issued under Rules 29C and 133A of the Aircraft Rules, 1937, and proposes to supersede the existing CAR dated September 20, 2022.
•The requirements are applicable to Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) in India and prescribe standards for radio navigation aids in accordance with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards under Annex 10, Volume I.
•Comments may be submitted to the Additional Secretary and Air Navigation Services Standards (AS & ANSS) Directorate, DGCA.
