The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, on October 27, 2026, has amended Notification No. S.O. 2805(E) dated 25 August 2017, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 5 of the Seeds Act, 1966, after consultation with the Committee.
The amendment substitutes the existing entry against Serial No. 27, Column (4) of the table with the following geographical area:
“Tamil Nadu, Keralam, Interior Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha”.
Accordingly, the geographical area specified against Serial No. 27 has been revised as above.
