The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoAFW) on October 27, 2026, exercising powers under Section 5 of the Seeds Act, 1966, has amended the notification dated May 13, 2025, relating to the specification of seed varieties. Accordingly, against Serial No. 88 of the existing notification, the geographical coverage mentioned in Column (4) has been revised to include Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jammu, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.
Further, against Serial No. 107, the seed variety name specified in Column (3) has been amended to “Raj Vijay Gram 2023 (RVG 2023)”. The amendment modifies the respective entries in the original notification.
