Industry Specific ComplianceThe Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) on October 28, 2026, notified the Cancellation of the Registration Certificate of FatX Solution for Misleading or False Product Claims.

CDSCO has cancelled the Registration Certificate No. RC/COS-003300 dated July 15, 2022, issued to M/s Tekno Midas Aesthetics for the import of the cosmetic product FatX Solution, with effect from October 2, 2026. The action was taken after discrepancies were identified between the approved product label and claims made on the importer’s website, which promoted the product as dissolving fat cells and reducing their size—claims considered drug-related and outside the definition of cosmetics under Section 3(aaa) of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.

The Licensing Authority found the firm's response to the show-cause notice dated August 10, 2026, unsatisfactory and cancelled the registration under Rule 16 of the Cosmetics Rules, 2020, for violation of Rule 36, which prohibits false or misleading claims by cosmetics. The order supersedes the earlier notice dated October 26, 2026, on the same subject.
